Long Time Speedway Motorsports Director Passes Away


CONCORD, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 2014-- Long time Speedway Motorsports, Inc. director, Robert L. Rewey, passed away on Nov. 29, 2014. Rewey, 76, served on the Speedway Motorsports Board of Directors since Nov. 8, 2001 following a distinguished 38-year career with Ford Motor Company. Rewey retired from Ford as Group Vice President of North American Operations and Global Consumer Services. His career with Ford included management of several areas including motorsport operations. He also served as Ford’s Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service.
